MONASTIR

Although they have only recently become part of the DO, in 2008, Monastir has come in through the front door, under the winemaking direction of Raúl Acha and his team. Acha, who lived viticulture very close to his home town of Cárdenas, arrived at the winery after a broad and successful career in winemaking. His ethos is based on good viticultural practices and on strict selection in the vineyards in order to obtain great wines. Monastir, coming from the Latin “monasterium”, takes its name from the viticultural and cultural legacy that makes up Navarran history.
