The beginnings of Pagos de Aráiz are at the end of 2000 when the Masaveu group, a Catalan family who settled in Asturias who have a long winemaking tradition going back to the 19th century, bought a 400 hectare estate in Olite. Today 300 hectares of this estate are planted with new vines. Five years ago the company’s first wines were launched onto the market, conceived with the ambitious objective of bringing together price and quality. The 14,000 meters of winery facilities are to be found in a building that is fully integrated into the surrounding countryside, built to respect the environment.

PAGOS DE ARÁIZ Tinto
Procedente de una selección de uvas de las 300 hectáreas de viñedo propio que Bodegas Pagos de Aráiz dispone alrededor de la bodega y recogidas en su óptimo momento de maduración. La producción de estos viñedos no excede de los 4.000 kG./Ha.
Variety
Tempranillo 55%, Cabernet Sauvignon 30% y Garnacha 15%
Wine-making
.Vendimia nocturna, Fermentación bajo un estricto control de la temperatura y el tiempo en la fase prefermentativa. Tras la malo-láctica el vino pasa 4 meses por barrica bordelesa de roble americano y del Este.
