A commitment to bio-dynamic and organic farming drives Isidro Escalera and Josefa Landíbar, owners and managers of the whole wine-making process at Bodegas Escalera. Understanding bio-dynamics, they believe that it is a path to knowledge rather than the application of a series of winemaking techniques and methods. For the owners, the soil is a living medium which needs to complete its organic and mineral cycle, in order to then transfer this to plants: great wines are made in the vineyard, not in the winery.
