BODEGA COOPERATIVA SAN SALVADOR

A large group of local growers (250) decided to join their vineyards together in 1947 to start a new cooperative, with the aim of making wines from grapes grown in their own vineyards. The winery is situated in the village of Arróniz, a place that treasures its long-standing viticultural history which began in the first century AD when the Romans were making wine in the area, as has been found in the archaeological remains at the Villa de la Musas. Today the winery has the capacity to produce four million kilos.
