The Regulatory Board of the DO Navarra qualified as "Very Good" the 2008 vintage after the analysis of about 1,000 samples.
Weather conditions conducive to a good harvest and the good health of the grapes did presage the vintage rating. Furthermore, the acidity of the musts suggests that this year’s wines are suitable for aging.
The Control Authority of the Government of Navarre, since November of last year, has qualified more than 50 million liters thorough the analysis of a series of parameters as the alcohol content, maximum volatile acidity, intensity of color or the residual sugar, among others. Subsequently, the samples were tasted by the Government of Navarre Tasting Panel. About 75% of the wine tasted where red wine, 25% rosé, and the rest dry white and sweet wines. (Wines From Spain)
